Our story began with patience, prayer, and trust. Though we knew early on that we wanted to be together, we chose to wait. Having both experienced deep heartbreak in the past, we were committed to honoring one another and ensuring that our relationship was rooted in God’s guidance rather than haste. For three months, we prayed daily—both together and individually—seeking wisdom, healing, and clarity.
During that season, God placed a clear message on Euston’s heart: to wait until the third day of the following month, a number symbolizing divine completeness and wholeness. On Sunday, November 3rd, we had the opportunity to serve together at a church for the first time outside of school. That morning, the pastor preached from 1 Corinthians 13:4–7, the very passage on love that we had read together on the first day of our waiting. Later that day, Euston asked me to be his girlfriend, marking the beginning of our journey together.
Our relationship has not been without challenges. Through trials and adversity, we have leaned into prayer, perseverance, and a shared trust in God’s plan. Each season strengthened our faith and our commitment to one another.
On August 3, 2025, we returned to the same boardwalk where our relationship began. There, Euston knelt and proposed, promising a lifetime of love, faithfulness, and leadership with God at the center of our marriage.
